The 2018 release features the return of Jaime Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode, now a tough-as-nails grandma living to kill her nemesis, plus creator John Carpenter with a new score and Dr. Loomis 2.0 (aka Dr. Sartain). It's a brutal, post-modern take on the concept that made the 1978 original a classic -- pure evil haunting suburbia on Halloween -- with updated rythms and violence to satisfy a modern audience.
